GUEST SPEAKERS:

SUZANNE LAGONI

No nonprofit organization will succeed without a fully engaged board: a cohesive group of individuals who embrace the mission of the organization, understand their roles and responsibilities and actively engage in providing necessary resources. The following topics will be addressed:

  • Challenges facing organizations in today's economy and the board's role in helping the organization continue to thrive
  • Ways to assure that board meetings focus on the business of the organization in a productive way
  • Characteristics of high performing boards and ways to take your board to "the next level"
  • Advanced strategies for involving your board in fundraising -- including practice in communicating your fundraising messages
  • Characteristics of effective board communication -- in good times and bad.

About our speakers:

As Vice President of The Foraker Group, Laurie co-creates and provides both community-wide and one-on-one training for boards and staff in the areas of board service, strategic planning, collaboration and resource development.
