Grants

JCCF gives grants each year from its Community Endowment. The Foundation’s annual Grantmakers Forum convenes philanthropy professionals to review grant applications and choose recipients before an audience, discussing the merits of the applications and giving constructive suggestions for improved grantwriting.

The Foundation makes grants to nonprofits in the areas of:

  • Education
  • Environment
  • Arts and culture
  • Health and human services
  • Aging
  • Organizational capacity building
  • Special initiatives

How does a nonprofit apply for a grant?

JCCF solicits grant proposals annually, which are then reviewed by a panel of grantmakers. Sunfield Farm and School received the first grant from the Foundation’s Community Endowment. JCCF does not currently accept unsolicited grant applications.
